Papoutsakis

[Biography]

Marios Papoutsakis is a Greek artist

He was born in Heraklion of Crete in 1974.

He graduated from Athens School of Fine Arts (Dimitris Mytaras atelier).

He attended courses in History of Art, History of Architecture, Philosophy and Aesthetics, Materials Technology, Photography, and Graphic Arts.

He has worked with hagiography and mosaic and collaborated with Orthodox iconographer in Greece and abroad (Syria - Cyprus),for decoration of temples.

Has practiced the profession of graphic designer - artistic designer in the "Itanos" editions and cooperated with graphic design factory "G. Detorakis"

In the field of Web Design, worked as a Web Designer in "Interdynamic" company based in Heraklion of Crete, manufacturing sites in many businesses.

Since September 2003 working in high education as a teacher of fine arts, of design and art history, in high schools and Technical Vocational School.

He has taken part in many exhibitions in Greece and abroad, winning awards and praises.

His work is inspired by the still life and a combination of naturalism and impressionism. He likes to study ‘the time passes us’. He also likes to experiment with human figure.
